I'm a 45 year old, retired, 5x world champion dancer. I'm also lifelong low carb eater. After leaving the dance floor I found it harder and harder to maintain a weight I was happy with. Injuries prevented me from being as active as I was. What I was doing before wasn't working as I aged. So, I turned to the keto diet for help. Keto has helped me stay at a weigh pretty close to my "dancing days."

Maria Emmerich is a nutritionist who specializes in the ketogenic diet and exercise physiology. She struggled with her health and weight throughout childhood which lead her to become such a passionate nutrition expert.

Gigi Eats Celebrities

I'm GiGi, a former competitive snowboarder and horseback rider that has since become a popular allergen-friendly cook with a master's in Nutrition Communications. However, prior to obtaining my master's degree, I got my broadcast journalism degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and even worked as the 3 am weather girl at Denver's ABC affiliate.

After realizing those hours were the pits, I moved to Los Angeles (I now live in Colorado), and started a humorous blog and YouTube channel called GiGi Eats Celebrities. This blog and YouTube channel is a place where people with diet concerns, as my own enthusiasm stems from my own severe diet-related problems (Crohn's disease, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, and no large intestine), can get advice (such as traveling with food intolerances) along with allergen-friendly recipes (and get a glimpse of my recipe fails as well) that everyone can enjoy.

My platforms have allowed me to garner the attention of many (who have described me as having an infectious, no bullshit, hilarious personality) and even led to me obtaining a book deal as I am the author of a book called, She Does Keto.

As an avid fitness enthusiast, the self-proclaimed Salmon Queen (I can eat 8 pounds of salmon in one sitting, no joke), and a rather blunt and light-heartedly vulgar diehard foodie, I have been told that I am proof you can educate and inform as well as entertain all at the same time!

I'm Michelle Borthwick ( sometimes known as Michelle Keto)  and my work lies (way) outside the standard one-size-fits-all Keto you find on "Google Coach".  

I tend to work with "women of a certain age".  Women who have some life behind them.  Women who believe that  giving up on how they look isn’t an option.  Women who know age is just a number.  Women who tend to live by their own set of rules.

My comprehensive program includes  diet hacks,  private coaching sessions, expert tips and accountability. It addresses: activity level, age, hormones, lab work, lifestyle, palate, food cravings, health, sociability, motivation, mindset and more.

I’m the proud founder and CEO of Keto is Easy Coach where my specialty is (way) outside the standard Keto world. Most commonly referred to as the Keto weight loss "stall buster," my propriety customization approach and nuanced application creates a permanent Keto lifestyle that is effective, easy and sustainable.

Before I began my own Keto journey, I owned a successful marketing and branding agency, where the demands of my business life led to my being overweight and dealing with multiple health challenges.  Every day left me depleted of energy, suffering with Gerd, plantar fasciitis, migraine headaches, severe brain fog and prediabetes. (in a glamour focused business that required tireless hours, endless creativity and spunk…of which I had none).

I honestly found Keto because I was desperate to save my life…and I haven't looked back.   Fast forward… I’ve lost 37 pounds, reversed prediabetes and all my health problems are gone!

I’m now living my passion as a full-time Keto coach to serve and inspire other women to get their life back, get healthy, find hope, and lose that last bit of stubborn weight.   I tend to work with "women of a certain age".  Women who have some life behind them. Women who believe that giving up on how they look isn’t an option.  Women who know age is just a number.  Women who tend to live by their own set of rules.

My business, Keto is Easy Coach, just celebrated two years in business, one of my top referral sources is doctors and health professionals and I’ve helped hundreds of women change their lives all from all over the United States.

In addition, it’s such an honor and privilege to serve as a consistent voice about Keto in the national and local media as a regular contributor to Modern Mom and various other publications where my work has been published as an expert keto coach. Keto On!

I got my first degree in 2008, which was in psychology from UW-Eau Claire. Then in 2015, I completed my Human Biology degree with an emphasis in Nutrition from UW-Green Bay.

In August of 2017, I became a Nutrition and Dietetic Technician, Registered. This title allows me to work with people in showing them the relationship between food and health.

While on my own journey to better health, I learned that I felt best with the fewest carbs possible and having more fat in my diet. That's where my journey to keto began. My fibromyalgia has improved, which has been one of the biggest benefits. A few other benefits I have experienced is that I’m not constantly thinking about when I can eat next and that I have more energy as well.
